Different Types of External Wall Cladding

Are you looking to refurbish the outside of your building? At Roofclad Systems, we are experts at implementing the perfect external wall cladding, all dependant on what your building and business need and are looking for. We are experts in an array of materials and would love to help you gain the external wall cladding you are looking for. Check out our different types of wall cladding below…

Rainscreen Cladding

Rainscreen cladding is designed to work alongside the elements of nature and protect your building from rain, wind and hot temperatures. The great thing about our rain cladding system is that it is visually appealing, as well as it being great at performing as it should. Making sure your building is waterproof, fireproof and truly damage free from the elements is vital and at Roofclad Systems we know how to create all of this effortlessly. We even work with a range of materials such as stone, granite, tile, aluminium, particulate boards (Trespa) and discretely fixed rainscreen – all with a vast experience profile.

Wall Overcladding

Sometimes referred to as ‘Single Skin’ wall cladding, this can be a lot cheaper in comparison to other wall cladding options, however, this only applies if the existing wall surface is in good condition. It involves installing a new profiled metal skin over the top of the existing wall with insulation and support bars installed in-between.

Composite Wall Cladding

Composite wall cladding is mainly used to simplify your roof installation. With it being a pre-made all-encompassing panel, it makes for a speedy external finish. There is no need to spend a long time completing your refurbishments, and let’s be honest, no one really has the time, especially in such a fast-paced business environment.

Although they provide the luxury of being able to be fitted quickly, they are also highly sought after as they are available in a range of coatings and insulation thicknesses. Composite Panels also provide consistent insulation throughout the roof area, with their airtight technology – this will save you time and money over time!

Traditional Built Up Wall Cladding

Traditional build up wall cladding consists of an internal metal liner, insulation layer and an external face. This is the most traditional industrial wall cladding system that you are used to seeing. It has a mineral wool core for insulation and a thin metal skin. All of these elements impact the thermal performance of the existing building, as well as adding value to your design.

You can choose from numerous options that are available for the external face, which means, as a client you are able to fully personalise your building and get a truly bespoke finish. In addition to this, the U-value build up can be changed up depending on the client’s needs.
